Basic Education Department
The Basic Education Department is not only focused on delivering academic programs—it also provides essential support services that contribute to the holistic development of students. Alongside classroom learning, the department includes key student-centered offices. These offices work together to ensure that students receive academic, emotional, social, and developmental support throughout their basic education journey.

Guidance and Testing Center (GTC)
The Guidance and Testing Center provides a range of services that support student learning in areas such as knowledge of oneself and others, life skills, educational, and career development. Student concerns are addressed through a preventive and developmental approach, as well as responsive and remedial intervention.
Guidance and Testing Program
The Guidance and Testing Program is a key academic support offered to Povedans, designed to ensure their holistic development. It follows a developmental, preventive, formative, and collaborative approach, providing continuous support throughout each student's stay in the College. The program emphasizes the importance of a collaborative relationship among teachers, parents, and other significant individuals in a student's life.
The Guidance and Testing Services have four main dimensions, namely:

Guidance Curriculum

Individual Planning

Responsive Services

System Support
Testing Office
The Testing Program offers a responsive assessment and support system dedicated to educational improvement. It provides opportunities for students to develop self-knowledge concerning relational, academic, and career goals. Through this program, individuals will realistically identify, assess, understand, and pursue their competencies, placement, and career opportunities.
SPECIAL PROGRAM
iTruly Care
This program supports the Anti-Bullying Policy of the school which condemns all acts of bullying done to any member of the community. It upholds the right and dignity of every person who is made in the image and likeness of God, worthy to be treated with respect and to feel secure in an environment where care is promoted and strives for.
GuSH Program

Learning Resource
Center (LRC)
The Learning Resource Center (LRC) plays a crucial role in supporting the school's academic programs by identifying, evaluating, procuring, processing, and making learning resources available to both faculty and students. It provides instructional support to help users effectively navigate and utilize library resources. The LRC offers Circulation, Reference, and Current Awareness Services to the Povedan community. As part of this, it conducts regular Library Instructional Program (LIP) classes to promote reading and information literacy. E-resources such as online databases are also accessible to enhance research and independent learning.

Office of Student Affairs (OSA)
The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) plays a vital role in the holistic development of students by offering a wide range of co-curricular and extracurricular programs that enrich and complement their classroom learning. It serves as the central hub for student life, overseeing student clubs, student-led organizations, and leadership development initiatives within the Basic Education Department.

The OSA is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring all student activities, both within the school and in collaboration with external institutions. This includes managing events, programs, and student involvement in non-academic competitions and partnerships beyond the school community.
In addition, the office oversees regular General Assemblies and provides continuous mentoring and guidance to elected student leaders. As part of its leadership development efforts, the OSA conducts leadership training for student officers and organizes leadership workshops and talks for the wider student body.
The Student Affairs Coordinator serves as the official Adviser to the Supreme Pupil Government (SPG) and the Student Council of Poveda (SCOP), ensuring that student leaders are well-equipped and empowered to carry out their duties effectively and responsibly.

Student Well-being Office (SWO)
The Student Well-being Office (SWO) oversees the planning, execution, and evaluation of the Povedan Core Values (PCVs) in Action for Character Transformation (P.A.C.T.) Program, and its projects and activities. The SWO coordinates with the different stakeholders to ensure the implementation of preventive measures, positive and formative interventions, and restorative courses of action in relation to the school’s Positive Behavior Development practices and management procedures. Students are guided to make choices and do actions leading to expected conduct while avoiding and overcoming barriers to good behavior.
