✨🇪🇸 Inauguración del Centro de Español de Poveda (CEP) 🇪🇸✨

Today, Saint Pedro Poveda College joyfully inaugurated the Centro de Español de Poveda (CEP)—a meaningful step in our mission to strengthen cultural and linguistic connections through the Spanish language. 🇪🇸💛

The celebration began with a warm welcome and the blessing of the CEP office, followed by the ribbon-cutting led by H.E. Miguel Utray Delgado, Ambassador of Spain to the Philippines, and Ms. Rosalinda Y. Basas, College President.

The event was graced by the presence of esteemed guests: Beatriz Jimeno Ortas, Asesoría de Educación en Filipinas; Francisco Javier López Tapia, Instituto Cervantes Manila Director; José Ignacio Urquijo Sánchez, Instituto Cervantes Manila Administrator; Teresa Collazo Lugo, Instituto Cervantes Manila Teacher.

Guests were also treated to a heartfelt Spanish poem recitation by Alessandra Gabrielle Paulino and a guided visit to the redesigned Poveda Archive Gallery.

The ceremony was hosted by Bianca Arabella Antonio, Grade 12 student batch 2025.

The Centro de Español de Poveda (CEP) will serve as a bridge connecting #Poveda to the global community. It will open opportunities for #Povedans to become globally competitive through immersion in a multilingual and multicultural environment grounded in Spanish language and culture. 🌎📚
