From Bangkok to Yale: Our Scholars Shine on the Global Stage! ✨
Huge congratulations to our Grade 10 students: Alyana Rigor, Daisy Budhrani, and Mattie Lapid for their stellar run at the World Scholar’s Cup Global Round in Bangkok, Thailand, last September 4-11! 🌍 Competing against 330 students from more than 30 countries, the team placed Top 2 Overall in Debate, won Gold in the Team Bowl, and earned Silver in Writing. 🏆🥇🥈
Individually, Alyana ranked as the Top Debater, was recognized as a Champion Scholar, and received Silvers in Writing and Academic Challenge. Daisy captured Golds in Debate and Scholar’s Challenge, was named a Champion Scholar, and earned Silvers in Writing and Academic Challenge. Mattie secured a Gold in Debate, showcasing her skill and grit.
🏅 Special thanks to Ms. Jessie Cañal, who not only coached the team but also served as a debate judge. 👏 Beyond the competition, the girls enjoyed the scavenger hunt, cultural fair, and scholar’s ball. 🎉
As they now set their sights on the Tournament of Champions at Yale University this November, we send them off with our warmest congratulations and heartfelt wishes—may their passion, brilliance, and teamwork continue to inspire and shine wherever they go. 💐✨💪
