In line with Solidarity Week, Povedans from Grades 10, 11, and 12 had the privilege of attending a scientific talk by Dr. Isabel Nuñez Lendo, a renowned marine scientist and National Geographic explorer. 🪸

Organized by the Centro de Español de Poveda and the High School Science Area, with the support of the Spanish Embassy, the lecture—titled “De la tierra al mar: los lazos invisibles que nos conectan” (“From Land to Sea: The Invisible Threads that Connect Us”)—highlighted the value of science, collaboration, and global citizenship.

Dr. Nuñez Lendo focused on the coral ecosystem crisis, conservation efforts, and the powerful, interconnected relationship between people and marine environments.
