Congratulations, Summer!
We are proud to share that Rean Summer M. Navarro, a Grade 12 student, won 3rd Place and was the sole category winner in ABRSM Violin for Grades 5-6 at the 2025 MUSIC Singapore International Competition, held last July 18-20, 2025 at the Royal Plaza on Scotts Singapore. She went through several rounds before reaching this far.
Recognition from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) is a global gold standard for violin proficiency, ensuring students are assessed under the same rigorous criteria worldwide. Earning it—especially in a prestigious competition, proves mastery of both technical skills (like intonation and bow control) and musical expression at a given level. Unlike single-performance contests, it reflects holistic musicianship, including sight-reading, aural skills, and music theory.
