Advanced Placement Program
The Advanced Placement (AP) program offers high school students the opportunity to take university-level courses that develop advanced thinking skills, academic discipline, and college readiness. These rigorous courses are designed to enrich the academic experience of students and support their transition to university, whether local or abroad.
Participation in AP® courses helps students build strong academic skills and earn college credits in Philippine and international universities, making it a valuable head start in their university journey. AP provides students with an opportunity to go beyond the standard curriculum and gain early momentum in their academic pursuits. Its sessions are held after regular class hours.
The Advanced Placement® program is one of POVEDA's best features in Curriculum and Instruction based on POVEDA's PAASCU accreditation results in 2013 and 2018.

POVEDA’s AP® courses are authorized by the College Board, USA, through a rigorous AP® Course Audit process. Our teachers submit their course syllabi annually to ensure each course meets university-level standards and qualifies for official AP® recognition. This approval reflects the high quality of instruction at POVEDA and assures parents and students that the AP® program delivers a globally recognized academic experience.
Saint Pedro Poveda College
as an AP® Testing Site
Authorized by the College Board, USA since 2007, Saint Pedro Poveda College has been administering AP® Exams on campus every May, offering students the opportunity to earn college credit or advanced placement.
As an AP® Testing Site, the school accommodates both:
