  JanninaEliana G. Pena, a Grade 7 student, will be among the mathematically-gifted Filipino students who will carry the Philippine banner in the 2011 International Mathematics Competition.  The competition will be in Singapore from July 29 to August 2, 2011.

Janna hasbeen  training for the Mathematics Trainer’s Guild Philippines (MTG) since her third grade. Through her perseverance in attending Saturday trainings, she was chosen to participate in the summer in-house training this April. Her exemplary performance during the training eventually placed her in the best position to represent the country in the competition arena. The contest will be another enriching experience where she can explore possibilities beneficial to the enhancement of her mathematical ability and giftedness.
